Healthy living
Forget dieting – focus on healthy living instead!
On International No Diet Day (6th May 2012), health experts are encouraging women to ditch restrictive diets and to focus on healthy living instead. Simple, everyday lifestyle changes are a more realistic and effective approach to managing weight and to preventing long-term weight gain. Terrill Bruere, Dietitian at Jean Hailes says, "Dieting helps some people but it's usually a short-term fix. It's not an effective or healthy long-term solution. Aim to stay active, fit and healthy and your weight will naturally drift to where it should be, and you'll prevent that slow, kilo creep. Don't focus on diets to try and lose weight. Live well in the world instead." You can access more information on how to live healthy below or get some helpful tips here. |
